KIGALI (All Africa Games) - Kenya men beat Ethiopia 80-54 in their Zone Five All Africa Games qualifiers at the Amahoro Peti Stadium.

It was Ethiopia who made the first basket by Ebrahim Abubeka hit a three pointer but David Otiso replied for Kenya who led 38-27 at half time.

Ancette Wafula scored 24 points, Ben Oluoch scored 11 while Yoni Wanambiro and Dan Okwirri combined for 17.Ebrahi Abubaker hit 11 for Ethiopia.

In the opening match of the games, host Rwanda fell 66-82 to Egypt. rains interrupting the fixtures for over 30 minutes.

Egypt led 46-26 at half time Rwanda took last two quarters 40-36

Rwanda beat Burundi 56=49

In the ladies match, Kenyan coach Cliff Owuor Rwanda survived a scare before winning 56-49 over Burundi.

Oberwart Gunners bolstered their roster. They added Buay Tuach(198-G/F-95, college: Loyola Mary) for the upcoming season. The Ethiopian swingman has just graduated from Loyola Mary. Kazma club in Kuwait signed experienced veteran 34-year old forward Abdullah Al Sarraf (190-F-82) from Al Arabi. He is 1.90 meters, and the list of his achievements is quite long. He has played in the league since just 2012, but was also voted, All-Kuwait League Guard of the Year in 2014. Al Sarraf played at the Arab Club Championships nine years ago.
