Thomas Kelati (195-G/F-82, college: Washington St.) and his PGE Turow Zgorzelec finished second in Poland after an outstanding, however pity loss in the best-of-seven Final series over Prokom Trefl Sopot. In Game 5 Prokom won the third game in a row in the Final series over Turow. Trailing 0-2 after the first two games away from home Prokom is now 3-2 after 59:66. An outstanding last period lifted them closer to the trophy as they host Game 6. Filip Dylewicz top-scored for the winners with 26 points. Krzysztof Roszyk nailed 15, while Mustafa Shakur scored 8. David Logan poured in 15 points in defeat, Dragisa Drobnjak had 14 and Robert Witka posted 13. Thomas Kelati ended up with 7 points in defeat. Turow looked really well at home and another proof for it was the first three quarters. Prokom could not stay tough in the start of the game playing without Gurovic that was suspended for one game after fighting in Game 4. PGE Turow Zgorzelec opened the game with 17:16 and increased the lead to 3 points at the half. After halftime Dragisa Drobnjak hit 2 triples in the third period as Turow went ahead by 10. After 17:12 in the third period Turow remained in front of the game dominating the court. Prokom Trefl Sopot woke up in the last period as they limited Turow to just 5 points in the period. Filip Dylewicz and Krzysztof Roszyk made three-point plays to seal the victory.
PGE Turow Zgorzelec made one more fantastic victory beating Prokom Trefl Sopot on the road 74:69 and tied the score in the play-off final on 3-3 after Game 6. That game Thomas Kelati produced 10 points for the winners.
June 4th was lucky for Prokom Trefl Sopot that has won the championship and it's their fifth title in the row. Milan Gurovic was the key player with 36 points and 10 rebounds. David Logan was the best player in Turow with 26 points as well as Thomas Kelati who scored 16.

Defending champion Stelmet Zielona Gora (TBL) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old Polish ex-international swingman Thomas Kelati (195-91kg-82, college: Washington State, agency: BeoBasket). He is a dual citizen owning also Eritrean passport. Kelati has played for the last two seasons at UCAM Murcia in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 36 games he had 5.6ppg and 1.4rpg last season. Artland Dragons (ProB) tabbed 27-year old naturalized Eritrean forward Jonathan Mesghna (198-89, college: Mont.St.-Billings). He has played for the last two years at Hebeisen White Wings Hanau (ProA). In 29 games he averaged 3.8ppg and 2.4rpg last season. Thomas Kelati extends deal with UCAM Murcia - 2 Years ago
Thomas Kelati (195-G/F-82, agency: Beo Basket, college: Washington St.) has extended the deal with UCAM Murcia. The guard will spend one more season in Spain. Thomas Kelati joined UCAM Murcia in February 2014. He averaged 6.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per appearance in Liga Endesa last season. Previously Thomas Kelati had stints in Russia, Poland, Greece and Belgium. He was named All-Polish League Player of the Year back in 2007.   [read more]
