Before the start of the season for As de Sale', Wayne Arnold (193-F/G-84, college: Tennessee St.) has found himself as the top import recruit in Africa.
After his 2017 performance in the FIBA African Championships. Arnold was named MVP and best import after carrying Al Ahly Cairo to the championship gold. He would average club best 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
He has now signed with the Morocco power club As de Sale. They are now ranked number one in the Morocco- D1. His club is now 7-0 while hes averaging an impressive 21.4 points per game.
His season-high 36 points Saturday against Wydad, the third-highest point total of his pro career, was his third game this season of at least 30 points, most in the league.
Arnold is entering his 9th season as a professional. He has played in a total of 13 countries including Iceland, NBA G-League, Austria, Finland, Angola, Japan, Egypt, Qatar and now Morocco. The most impressive stat is the fact that Arnold was named All-Import honors in each.
Wayne Arnold attended Tennessee State University. After two seasons he was named All-Conference honors.

Al Ahly deny Sporting sixth straight Egypt Cup - 1 month ago |
In what should be considered an upset, Al-Ahly won their ninth Egypt Cup while also denying Sporting their sixth straight title in the competition.
Both teams fought hard to win the title and coincidentally had the identical scoreline in the semi-finals. Al Ahly beat Smouha 71-69 (despite trailing at halftime), while Sporting beat Zamalek with the same scoreline in their own respective semi-final.

Despite being the heavy favorites to win the game, Sporting found themselves trailing after the first quarter, with a scoreline of 22-13. Sporting had a breathtaking run in the second quarter, with their defense holding Al-Ahly to 14 points in the period while scoring 24 of their own.
The game didn't let up in the second half with both teams finishing the third quarter tied at 51 points, with the Egypt Cup in the balance, both teams fought hard until the last possession, but it was Al Ahly who grinded out a win with a final scoreline of 72-69.
The title is Al Ahly's first since 2011 and ninth in total. They are the third most successful club in the competition's history after Ittihad of Alexandria and Zamalek, who won it on 12 occasions.
On the other hand, Smouha defeated Zamalek to achieve the third place in the competition.
