Sagesse to the semi finals of the 2016 Dubai International Tournament - Feb 19, 2016

Sagesse made it to the 2016 Dubai International Basketball Tournament semi-finals after defeating Sporting club from Egypt today 70-65. The Lebanese team dominated the game from the start and successfully led the 4 quarters of the game. Despite the big gap created at the end of Q3 (12 points), the 4th quarter wasn't that easy to the green castle's players as Sporting could reduce the gap to 5 points but our players managed to maintain the game's lead and secure the win.
Here are the quarters results: Q1: 23-13, Q2: 39-33, Q3: 60-48 and Q4:70-65
Sagesse will face Al Najem Al Sahili from Tunisia in the semifinals.

Germany beat Egypt 83-69 in the opener of the Stankovic Cup. The European team took a 23-13 lead and led 9 points at the halftime. Moreover they finished the game with a massive 27-15 surge to seal the victory. Amr Abou El Kheir replaces Orenga after U-19 World Cup failure - 10 days ago
The board of directors of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, headed by Magdi Abu Farikha, decided on Monday to hire Amr Abou El Kheir, coach of Alexandria's Al Ittihad men's team, as coach of the national U-19 team, replacing Juan Antonio Orenga , whose contract will end at the end of July.
