Amanda Frost
After a big performance and win in the last round with 32 points of the Egyptian women's league. We decided to catch up with American Import Player Amanda Frost (174-G-91, college: N.Arizona) out of Northern Arizona University.

Eurobasket: How is living in Egypt?
Frost #21: Living in Egypt is pretty entertaining. Everyday I see something new and the experience of living in Egypt is just a journey itself, but I really enjoy it.

Eurobasket: Who is your favorite player man and woman?
Frost #21: Michael Jordan will always be my all time favorite because he is the man he is basketball in itself.. Diana taurasi is my favorite women's player she just makes everything look so easy!

Eurobasket: Looking back to last season, coming out of college you was one of the best scorers in NCAA Women's College Basketball. Has that help your confidence in your 1st year Professionally?
Frost #21: I was waiting to have a breakout year to finally expose my talent and I knew I always wanted to go pro so it really just boosted my confidence and made me anxious to want to start hoopin professionally.

Eurobasket: How has your experience been since joining Al Ahly Club of the Egyptian Pro League, and how did you end up playing for 1 of the best clubs in this sports market?
Frost #21: So far playing with Ahly I have had a pretty good experience although basketball here in Egypt is a bit different. I have adapted to the girls and their style of play. From playing in the African tournament last year with sporting i got a lot of exposure and that's how I ended up currently with ahly .

Eurobasket: A lot of teams play physical with you and send a Box-&-1 defense at you each game, but you still manage to score 30+ with a good shooting %. Is this helping your game better to score in other ways?
Frost #21: Yes I actually enjoy the challenge and not only can I still score off of it but it makes my teammates more open as well and there's no help side. It allows me to attack the basket easily or use a step back three or dump it to the post off the pick n roll..

Eurobasket: What have been your best game so far?
Frost #21: I would have to say against Heliopolis this season we were down 17 at one point and all my steals led to baskets not only for me but my teammates also, and we ended up coming back and winning. I ended with a game high of 34 I believe.

Eurobasket: What are your goals for this season to finish up with your team?
Frost #21: My goal simply for this season is to win the cup and play the best basketball I know how to play as a rookie.

Eurobasket: In a lot of countries for professional basketball men and women. Money is always late! Being that you on a top organization have your pay been on time?
Frost #21: I get paid like 3-4 days late but it's not that bad.

Eurobasket: How is your teammates and coaches?
Frost #21: They are all very supportive and very kind.

Eurobasket: Only .04% of athletes around the world make it to play Pro Ball. How do you feel that you have made it Professionally?
Frost #21: I made it professionally one because of my father and two because of my work ethic and determination.

Eurobasket: What advice would you give to players with dreams to make it for ball?
Frost #21: I would just tell players that if the professional life is what u want then u literally gotta work for it everyday. I haven't had one day where I thought it was easy. Instead I got so accustomed to dedicating myself to my dream that I couldn't wait for the awaiting challenges.

Eurobasket: Who would you like to thank?
Frost #21: Lastly I would like to thank god, My father who introduced me to the game and made me who I am today, My supportive family and my closest friends that have always believed in me.
Thanks Amanda and Good luck with the rest of the season. Finish out strong and healthy! Inshallah!
