Tough Draw for Egypt in Mediterranean Games - May 20, 2013
Egyptian National team will take part in the Mediterranean games next month in Mersin Turkey facing heavy weight opponents in a tournament which is considered to be an excellent preparation before the African Cup of Nations next August which qualifies to 2014 world cup in Spain.
The draw has placed Egypt in Group A with Turkey the runner up of the last world championship, Macedonia which ranked 4th and finally against North African rivals Algeria

The draw has placed Egypt in Group A with Turkey the runner up of the last world championship, Macedonia which ranked 4th and finally against North African rivals Algeria.
It won't be easy to beat either Turkey on it's own land or Macedonia specially if they will participate with their first team. While the match against Algeria would be special as both teams will face each other again in Group A in African Cup of Nations next August in Ivory Coast.
Assem Marei of MSU Mavericks & Omar Abbas of District of Columbia both are in NCAA2. While Omar Oraby of USC Trojans in NCAA1 is expected to join the team with in this week. Both youngsters Marei & Oraby are the future of the Egyptian National team.

National Team Training Camp to Start next Tuesday - May 5, 2013
Egyptian head coach Amr Abu El-Kheir has selected a squad of 24 players to start the training camp for the Mediterranean games which will take place in Mersin, Turkey end of June. The squad which didn't contain any foreign based players will start training camp on Tuesday and left out some key players in the Egyptian league like Ahmed Mounier, Sherif Guneidy, Rami Guneidy & Amr Sherif

Egyptian head coach Amr Abu El-Kheir has selected a squad of 24 players to start the training camp for the Mediterranean games which will take place in Mersin, Turkey end of June.
The squad which didn't contain any foreign based players will start training camp on Tuesday and left out some key players in the Egyptian league like Ahmed Mounier, Sherif Guneidy, Rami Guneidy & Amr Sherif.
The 24 player's selected are:
El Ahly Sc: Tarek El-Ghannam, Ibrahim El-Gammal, & Ibrahim Abu Khadra
Sporting: Wael Badr, Mohamed El-Kerdany, Ahmed Mohieb, Mohamed El-Leithy, Yousef Shousha, Ahmed Hisham, & Marwan Khorshed.
Al-Ittihad: Rami Ibrahim, Haitham Kamal, Mohannad El-Sabbagh, Ahmed El-Sabbagh, & Moataz Hosni
Zamalek: Haitham El-Saharty, Mohamed Salah, Moataz Okasha, & Anas Osama
El-Gezira: Roumeh Sameh, Sherif Gamil, & Ahmed El-Shibany
Smouha: Ahmed Fahmy
El-Geish: Mohamed Fouad
It is expected that foreign based players will start to join the National team by end of this month.
