ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket adds Kahudi to their roster - Jul 5, 2015

Kahudi
ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (ProA) added to their roster 29-year old French international small forward Charles Kahudi (199-86, agency: Beo Basket). He is a dual citizen owning also DR Congolese passport. Kahudi has played for the last six seasons at Le Mans Sarthe Basket (ProA). In 34 games he recorded 12.2ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg last season. He helped them to make it to the cup final and to the league semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Honorable Mention and to the All-Star Game. Kahudi also played 12 games in EuroChallenge where he averaged 7.3ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.4apg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Kahudi's team won French Leaders Cup in 2014. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Most Improved Player of the Year back in 2008.
Kahudi has been also a member of French international program for some years. He has regularly played for French senior team since 2010 and previously for U20 National Team in 2006. Kahudi represented France at the European Championships in Slovenia two years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 6 games: 1.3ppg.
Kahudi has played previously for three other France teams: Cholet Basket, JDA Dijon and ALM Evreux.
On Kahudi: A quick-footed swingman who is yet one of the best defenders in French league. He can guard either on the SGs or SFs, he's strong and motivated. At the offensive side, has a good outside shooting but needs to improve his drive-in skills.when penetrates inside.

He tallies 5.6 points, 6.0 rebounds per game in ACB this season. Last season Sakho played for Martorell in EBA where his stats read 7.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per appearance. He also represented DR Congo at the Afrobasket Championships this year.
