Bambale Osby
PAOK Thessaloniki (A1) inked 28-year old DR Congolese-Congolese center Bambale Osby (203-113kg-86, college: Maryland). Osby managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). He played most recently at BC Siauliai in Lithuanian LKL league. In 11 games he averaged 8.1ppg and 4.7rpg. He also played 4 games in Baltic League where he had 8.8ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.0bpg. Osby won Baltic League championship title. He started last season at Kolossos. In 13 games he had 10.8ppg and 4.7rpg.
The previous (12-13) season he played at Entente Orleans 45 (ProA) in French league. In 7 games he had 8.4ppg and 2.7rpg. Osby also played 3 games in Eurocup where he had 9.0ppg and 2.3rpg.
In 2011-12 season he played at Aix-Maurienne (ProB) in French league. In 37 games he had 14.8ppg, 9.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.5bpg. A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-French ProB 3rd Team.
In 202011 summer Osby played at Vaqueros (BSN) in Puerto Rican league. In four games he had 10.3ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0bpg. The last (2011) season he played at TTU Korvpalliklubi Tallinn (Alexela KML) in Estonian league. In 38 games he had very impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2bpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Estonian League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year. Osby also played 22 games in Baltic League where he was fourth best scorer with remarkable 18.6ppg and recorded 12.0rpg (leader !!!), 1.4apg and 1.1bpg. Indeed an impressive season as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Baltic League Import Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and selected to 1st Team.
He is a very experienced player. Osby has played also professionally in Austria (Gmunden Swans), Germany (Phoenix Hagen), Israel (Ironi Ramat Gan) and Romania (U-Mobitelco and Pitesti).
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.
He attended University of Maryland until 2008 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.

Union Sportive Monastir picked up their second win at the 2017 FIBA Africa Champions Cup after overcoming ASB Mazembe 91-67 on Tuesday.
