Maxime
Zianveni
Boulazac Basket Dordogne (ProB) landed experienced 37-year old former Central African international power forward Maxime Zianveni (198-79). He has a double citizenship as he also holds French passport from Etoile Charleville-Mezieres. In 23 ProB games he averaged 10.8ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.4apg last season.
The previous (14-15) season Zianveni played at Sluc Nancy (ProA) where in 30 games he had 3.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
Among other achievements Zianveni received Eurobasket.com French ProA All-Domestic Players Team award back in 2006 and 2007.
He also represented Central Africa at the African Championships in Madagascar five years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 7.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 50.0%, FT: 53.8%.
Zianveni has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Apoel and Proteas Danoi AEL Limassol) and France (Strasbourg IG, Hyeres-Toulon, STB Le Havre and Chalon/Saor).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Boulazac.
Let's have closer look into Zianveni's outlook: A forward with great athletic skills, who is a great leaper and slasher. Can spend time in both the forward positions, but prefers the 4 one, due to a so-so shooting range.
