Comunicaciones Mercedes (TNA) signed 33-year old Cameroonian ex-international power forward Gaston Essengue (203-109kg-83, college: UNLV). He played last season at San Isidro (TNA), but left the team in Mar.'16. In 32 games he had 13.5ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.0spg. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian TNA Honorable Mention in 2015 and 2016. Essengue's team won Argentinian TNA North Regular Season in 2014.
Essengue represented Cameroon at the Afrobasket Championships in Rades (Tunisia) last year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 2.5ppg, 2.3rpg.
Essengue is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Essengue has played previously professionally in France (Etendard de Brest), Holland, Malaysia (Farmcochem), Spain (Monzon), Switzerland, Turkey, Argentina (Quilmes Mar del Plata, Libertad Sunchales, Ciclista, San Martin Marcos Juarez and Alianza Viedma), Mexico (Halcones Rojos) and Kosovo (Sigal Prishtina).
He attended University of Nevada - Las Vegas until 2007 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.

BC Orchies (NM1) agreed terms with 23-year old naturalized Cameroonian center Maxime Djo Ebala (208-94) from Angers BC 49. In 30 NM1 games he had 3.0ppg and 1.7rpg last season. Djo Ebala helped his team to make it to the NM1 Play-Offs Semifinals in 2016. He has played previously for another French team STB Le Havre. C.B. Torrons Vicens L'Hospitalet (LEB Silver) signed 24-year old Cameroonian center Johan Bitjaa (207-93, agency: Interperformances) from Zamorano. In 26 LEB Silver games in Spain he had 7.5ppg and 5.9rpg last season. Bitjaa also played that season for Arcos Albacete Basket where in three LEB Silver games he recorded 7.3ppg and 6.7rpg. Detroit Pistons inked 23-year old Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-114kg-94, college: Clemson). He played most recently at VL Pesaro in Italian Serie A. In 30 games he averaged 6.4ppg and 7.1rpg last season. Nnoko has never been drafted by the NBA. He received ACC All-Defensive Team award in 2016 at his college time.
