Victor
Samnick
Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole (ProB) added to their roster 37-year old Cameroonian ex-international power forward Victor Samnick (203-79, college: Georgetown). He is a dual citizen owning also French passport. Samnick played recently at Sharks Antibes, the newcomer in ProA, but left the team earlier this month. In 7 games he recorded 3.3ppg and 3.3rpg this season.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the French La Semaine des AS Cup Final Four in 2012. Samnick was selected to French ProA All-Star Game back in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He was a member of Cameroonian Senior National Team back in 2011.
Samnick has played previously for five other France teams: Paris-Levallois, ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket, Chorale de Roanne, Sluc Nancy and JL Bourg.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Vichy Clermont.
Samnick attended Georgetown University until 2003 and it is his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player.
On Samnick: Very active around the basket. Brings energy to the court.
