Malabo Kings basketball club of Equatorial Guinea was in fine form Monday afternoon when it upstage Urunani basketball club Burundi by 97-50 points in a group-B tie in Sousse Tunisia.

The Kings were in superb form from the jump-ball to the buzzer winning in all four quarters to register it first win so far by 27-13, 21-14, 29-11 and 20-12.

Kings who will have Nigeria Kano Pillars basketball club as foe in both sides last group game on Tuesday was led in scoring against the Burundian by Oscar Ngomo with a double double effort of 20 points and 11 rebound; Mamdou Diara also recorded a double double figure of 17 points and 15 rebounds; Edjang Martin had 14 points, 6 assist and 5 rebound; Francisco Mba added a perfect statistics with 12 points, 8 assist, 8 rebound and 3 steal with Jose Obiang contributing 10 points for their side important win.

Patriots Basketball Club inks Jean de Dieu Niagunduka, ex Urunani - 1 Year ago
Patriots Basketball Club (D1) agreed terms with Burundian ex-international Jean de Dieu Niagunduka. He played most recently at Urunani in Burundian D1 league. Niagunduka was named to Burundian National Team in 2013. He was a member of Burundian Senior National Team since then. Burundis Urunani Basketball Club retained the Fiba/Africa Mens Zone V Club Championships title after beating hosts KPA 68-59 on Sunday at KPA welfare gymnasium in Mombasa, Kenya.
