AL Ahly basketball club of Libya and Urunani basketball club of Burundi today (Monday) sees of their respective opponents in the race for position 9-12 of the 26th edition of the Africa Champions Cup for Men at the Salle Athallah Bouazzaoui gymnasium, Sale Morocco.

AL Ahly basketball club handed down a 96-85 points (16-27, 22-19, 30-12 and 28-27) defeat of Nigeria Royal Hoopers basketball club while Urunani had the better of Malabo Kings basketball club of Equatorial Guinea by 67-50 points (18-15, 19-09, 16-10 and 14-16).

AL Ahly will now square up against Urunani in the battle for the 9-10 position while Royal Hoopers will take on Malabo Kings in the race for 11-12 position of the championship on Tuesday at the same venue.

Patriots Basketball Club inks Jean de Dieu Niagunduka, ex Urunani - 1 Year ago
Patriots Basketball Club (D1) agreed terms with Burundian ex-international Jean de Dieu Niagunduka. He played most recently at Urunani in Burundian D1 league. Niagunduka was named to Burundian National Team in 2013. He was a member of Burundian Senior National Team since then. Burundis Urunani Basketball Club retained the Fiba/Africa Mens Zone V Club Championships title after beating hosts KPA 68-59 on Sunday at KPA welfare gymnasium in Mombasa, Kenya.
