The game, which was initially slated for Mavuso Sports Centre will finally take place at Waterford KaMhlaba at 11am on Saturday. Swaziland National Basketball Association (SNBA) President, Clement Dlamini said the Botswana side won a silver medal in the COSAFA Under-17 basketball tournament losing by a point to South Africa. 'It is a game that will surely give our Zone squad a great test ahead of the December game. Botswana is the fifth best ranked country in Southern Africa. Our aim is to learn how to win and playing against Botswana will be of great help,' he said.

The local squad is captained by Waterford student, Muhle Dlamini and there is also the lanky Thando Kunene of Enjabulweni School. Dlamini said they have also lined up another international friendly against the second ranked Mozambique. 'We are still in talks with Mozambique and that game will also help expose our players to higher standards. The thing is that the standard of the sport is higher in the SADC region in Africa,' he said.

The visiting team is currently in camp for 18 days in preparation for the Zone VI games.
