Ahead the final round of the 2010 FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Men slated for Cotonou, Benin Republic one of Nigeria representatives, Royal Hoopers basketball club has concluded plans to have a double friendly games against Bauchi Nets basketball club.

The friendlies according to the Head Coach of the Port Harcourt-based side, Ogoh Odaudu that the team is aiming to play at least four tune-up games before jetting out to Cotonou on December 8.

Coach Odaudu told our correspondent that the two friendly games the team played against Ebun Comets basketball club before departing for Liberia for the FIBA Africa Zone-3 Qualifiers was good for the team as the two games put them in match situation before the Liberia qualifiers where they secure a place for the final round as a first timer.

Coach Odaudu says the choice of Bauchi Nets was because the Nets is one of the best side in the Savannah conference of the Nigeria DStv league.

The first of the two games series comes up Wednesday evening at the sports hall of the Bauchi Township Stadium with a second game in the morning of Thursday as the Hoopers plan to return to it camp site in Kaduna where it hoped to play two more friendly games against Kada Stars basketball club and a yet to be named opponent.

Royal Hoopers qualified alongside Kano Pillars basketball club in the FIBA Africa Zone-3 Elimination early November and have since commenced preparation ahead the final round which run from December 9 through 19.
