The dwindling fortune of Warriors basketball club of Uganda continues on Day-4 of the final round of the 24th FIBA Africa Champions Club for Men holding in Kigali, Rwanda losing its third straight game to ASPAC basketball club of Benin Republic by 97-56 points.

ASPAC who was inspired by young Nigerian-born lad, Mohammed Bukar whose form sees him scoring a competition high of 39 points led his side to over run the Kampala-based Warriors in all four quarters.

Though Warriors started the game on a promising note taking a 11-5 points lead in the first six minutes of the first quarters but gave up too soon as ASPAC closes in on them to win the quarter by 18-14 points.

The late turning point for the Coach Peter Ahmedu tutored ASPAC side was the tonic they needed to wake to the reality of the match taking the Warriors apart all through the game winning the second, third and fourth quarters convincingly by 25-12, 22-17 and 32-13 for a final score-line of 97-56 points one of the biggest set back the Warriors have suffered so far in the competition as they look set to kiss the 2009 edition of the competition goodbye.

ASPAC will on Thursday take on Interclub basketball club of Congo Brazzaville in the race for who finish second behind group leader, Primeiro dAgosto at 13h00 while Warriors will file out against the defending champion in its last group game at 19h00.
