Emmanuel
Quezada
Desportivo 1. De Agosto Luanda (Division I) confirmed in their roster 32-year old American (has also Dominican passport) point guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-86kg-85, college: USF). He played there last season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The previous (2016) summer Quezada played at Petro de Luanda. He contributed in the Supercup final and the Cup final.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Angolan League championship title in 2015. Quezada was also voted Afrobasket.com All-African Champions Cup 2nd Team in 2016.
He is quite experienced player. Quezada's career allowed him to visit four different continents. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. Quezada has played previously professionally in Brazil (Sao Jose/Vinac), Dominican Rep., Spain (Joventut and Leon) and Dominican Republic (Huracanes del Atlantico and Sameji).
He attended University of San Francisco until 2009 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
On Quezada: A scoring point guard with great personality and leadership, he wants the ball in his hands very often, but knows how to use it. Great scorer and good passer, he can become a star at top European level. Very quick, he can steal lots of balls at the defensive side, making an heavy pressure on the opponents.
