There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in Division I.

The game between third ranked 1 De Agosto (16-7) and sixth ranked Marinha (8-14) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. 1 De Agosto was defeated by Marinha in a tough game in Luanda 76-81. Marinha moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Progresso. Defending champion 1 De Agosto keeps the third position with seven games lost. Marinha is looking forward to face Progresso (#6) in the next round. 1 De Agosto will play against the league's leader Libolo in Libolo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Libolo (23-0) which played road game in Luanda against 4th placed Interclube (9-14). Leader Libolo managed to get a 4-point victory 69-65. Undefeated Libolo have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 23-0 record. Interclube lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 14 games lost. Libolo will play against 1 De Agosto (#3) in Luanda in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Interclube's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Luanda to the arena Petroleos.
The game between second ranked Petroleos (18-5) and 5th ranked Progresso (8-14) in Luanda on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Petroleos outscored guests from 95-76. The victory was the third consecutive win for Petroleos. They maintain second place with 18-5 record having just eighteen point less than leader Libolo. Progresso at the other side keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Marinha. Petroleos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Luanda Interclube.

The game between second ranked Petroleos (18-5) and 5th ranked Progresso (8-14) in Luanda on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Petroleos outscored guests from 95-76. The victory was the third consecutive win for Petroleos. They maintain second place with 18-5 record having just eighteen point less than leader Libolo. Progresso at the other side keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Marinha. Petro de Luanda squad last Monday qualified for the final of the top division National Basketball Championship after beating, in Luanda's Dream Space Pavilion, the Sport Libolo e Benfica team by 90-74, in the third playoff game (best of five) of the semi-finals. In the previous two games Petro de Luanda won by 87-70 and 69-61. We bring you last week's top performances from Angolans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an experienced international power forward Reggie Moore (203-81). He could not help Galitos-Barreiro (17-16) in their last game.
