Division I Round 4: Interclube defeat Petroleos in the closest game of the week - Mar 15, 2017

The most exciting game of round 4 in the Division I took place in Luanda. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Petroleos (15-5) to fourth ranked Interclube (9-11) 72-70 on Friday evening. Interclube maintains fourth position in I with 9-11 record. Petroleos at the other side keep the second place with five games lost. Interclube's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Luanda 1 De Agosto.
Important game to mention about took place in Clotilde. Eighth ranked Vila Clotilde (5-14) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging 7th ranked ASA (5-13) 60-58 on Friday evening. Vila Clotilde maintains eighth position in I with 5-14 record. ASA at the other side keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. Vila Clotilde will play against bottom-ranked Lusiada (#9) at home in the next round. ASA will have a break next round.

The Angolan national senior men's basketball team are playing this Thursday Lithuania in the second round of the international tournament, taking place in China, Radio 5 reported. Sampaense Basket (Proliga) signed 31-year old Angolan guard Edson Ferreira (183-86). He played last season at Ipswich Tomcats in British NBL D2. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
