1 De Agosto Beat Asa, Still Invincible
1 de Agosto on Saturday beat
Atletico Sport Aviacao (ASA) by 93-81 at Rio Seco pavilion, in a second round
match (third phase) of the national senior males basketball tournament, group A.
In eight games played in the final phase of the competition (final four), 1 de
Agosto obtained the same amount of victories.
With this win they have 16 points in the first position. In the next round 1 de
Agosto will face Petro de Luanda and in case of a victory they can commemorate
the title with anticipation, but they should not lose to ASA and Promade in the
fourth phase of the competition.
In another match of the same group Petro de Luanda beat Promade de Cabinda by
76-43, at the main pavilion of Cidadela stadium.

1 De Agosto Win Super Cup
1. de Agosto on Tuesday won
the 16th edition of the 'Wladmiro Romero' Super Cup in basketball, by
beating Petro Atletico by 71-69, a victory only achieved eight seconds
before the end of the game, with a triple shot by Carlos Almeida.
In a balanced match in which the two teams could explore well the attack
moves, 1. de Agosto, that was in disadvantage for most of the time, only
made the draw at the last minute of the third quarter, at 53 points.
In the last period, 1. de Agosto led the score for the first time
(55-53) and re-enlivened the game when it seemed to be in total control
of Petro Atletico that was still keeping the same positive performance.
1. de Agosto's Olimpio Cipriano was the best scorer with 23 pints,
followed by Petro's Carlos Morais.
With this triumph, 1. de Agosto have eight Super Cup titles.
