D1 Round 6: Olympic Batna lose to CRB Dar El-B. - Jan 30, 2017

Coincidentally all hosts won their games. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Olympic Batna (3-1) in El-Beida on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by CRB Dar El-B. (4-0) 75-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Olympic Batna. It was a key game for the top position in the league. CRB Dar El-B. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Olympic Batna at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with WA Boufarik and NAH Dey.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked NAH Dey (3-1) against top-ranked Arreridj (3-0) on Saturday night. Visiting NAH Dey was defeated by Arreridj in a tough game in B.B. Arreridj 50-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of NAH Dey. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Arreridj have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with GS Petroliers. NAH Dey at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with WA Boufarik and Olympic Batna.
Miliana has finally registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Oran (0-4) 84-58 on Saturday. Miliana (1-2) left bottom position moving up to tenth place. It was Oran's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost.
Staoueli has finally registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Skikda (1-3) 84-76. Staoueli left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Skikda.
Top-ranked GS Petroliers (3-0) crushed at home 13th ranked El Eulma (1-4) by 49 points 91-42, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. GS Petroliers have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Arreridj. El Eulma lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost.

In the last two games of round 6 Ouargla lost to US Setif on the opponent's court 50-55. WA Boufarik outscored Constantine JP in a home game 83-62.

Miliana - Oran 84-58

Miliana has finally registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Oran (0-4) 84-58 on Saturday. Miliana (1-2) left bottom position moving up to tenth place. It was Oran's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost.

US Setif - Ouargla 55-50

Everything could happen in Setif at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked USS and 12th ranked Ouargla had identical 1-2 record. This time USS used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from 55-50 on Saturday night. USS (2-2) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Constantine CSC. Ouargla lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost.
