Groupe Sportif Petrolier clinched Algerian Basketball Cup 2016 beating Union de Setif in the Final game. The winner of the Regular Season posted a 67-63 win to take another trophy of the season. Union de Setif won the first period 22-20, while Petrolier tied it all at 37:37 at the halftime. Mounir Benzegala (178-PG-87, college: Tampa) nailed three for 42:37, but Union de Setif later took the lead back. Only at the very end Groupe Sportif Petrolier managed to push the tempo for good and seal the victory.
