D1 Round 20: Miliana beats Olympi Batna by one after a very close game - Feb 23, 2016

Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 20 in the D1 took place in Miliana. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Olympi Batna (12-7) to eighth ranked Miliana (9-11) 75-74 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Olympi Batna. Miliana maintains eighth position with 9-11 record. Olympi Batna at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked CRB Dar El-B. (16-4) against fifth ranked USS (13-5) on Saturday night. Visiting CRB Dar El-B. was crushed by USS in Setif 76-54. USS have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-5 record. CRB Dar El-B. at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked NAH Dey (15-5) against fourth ranked Arreridj (14-6) on Saturday night. Visiting NAH Dey was defeated by Arreridj in a tough game in B.B. Arreridj 51-57. Arreridj maintains fourth position with 14-6 record. Loser NAH Dey keeps the third place with five games lost.
Bottom-ranked Oran managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time newly promoted Oran won against seventh-ranked Staoueli 77-73. And what about a second win in a row after ...eighteen consecutive losses. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Staoueli. Newly promoted Oran maintains fourteenth position with 2-18 record. Staoueli at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost.
D1 top team - GS Petroliers (18-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Constantine (4-16) in Alger 95-74. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-1 record. Constantine lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 16 games lost.

In the last two games of round 20 Skikda was beaten by Eleulma on the road 78-67. WA Boufarik won against USM Blida on its own court 53-50.

Eleulma - Skikda 78-67

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Eleulma and 11th ranked Skikda had identical 4-14 record. This time Eleulma used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Skikda 78-67 on Friday night. Eleulma (5-14) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with USM Blida. Skikda lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost.

Oran - Staoueli 77-73

Bottom-ranked Oran managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time newly promoted Oran won against seventh-ranked Staoueli 77-73. There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in D1. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. The most surprising game was a loss of NAH Dey (1-1) in Alger on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by CRB Dar El-B. (1-0) 73-61.
