D1 Round 14: GS Petroliers beat Arreridj in the most crucial game of the week - Jan 19, 2016

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in B.B. Arreridj. Top-ranked GS Petroliers faced 4th ranked Arreridj. Guests from Alger (11-0) defeated host Arreridj (10-4) 70-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Arreridj. Undefeated GS Petroliers have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 11-0 record behind leader NAH Dey. Arreridj at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost.
Leader NAH Dey delivered the twelfth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Eleulma (3-10) 88-74 in Alger. NAH Dey (12-2) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Eleulma lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Skikda.
Bottom-ranked Oran (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 58-54 loss to ninth ranked WA Boufarik (5-8) in Oran on Saturday evening. WA Boufarik maintains ninth position with 5-8 record. Newly promoted Oran still closes the standings with 14 games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Staoueli. Local Staoueli (8-5) outscored 11th ranked Skikda (3-10) 88-60. Staoueli maintains sixth position with 8-5 record. Skikda lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with ten games lost.

Rest of the games of round 14 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
US Setif defeated Constantine in a road game 84-67. USM Blida was beaten by Olympi Batna at home 68-82. Miliana lost to CRB Dar El-B. on the opponent's court 67-81.

NAH Dey - Eleulma 88-74

Leader NAH Dey delivered the twelfth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Eleulma (3-10) 88-74 in Alger. NAH Dey (12-2) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Eleulma lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Skikda.

GS Petroliers celebrated 2016/17 title as they won both Final games against NA Hussein-Dey. GS Petroliers posted a 75-71 win in the opener and then won 94-61. Mohamed Seddik gave his team a 38-24 halftime advantage, while Faycal Belkhodja(192-G-88) nailed three for 64-32 lead.
