Mozambique - Senegal 52-72
Senegal outscored Mozambique to enter the championship game in Mali. Astou Traore (182-F/C-81, agency: ProDep Management) delivered 22 points to lead the winners. Senegal piled up a 44:30 halftime lead. They went on a 28:22 run in the second half to secure the winning outcome. Ndeye Sene (167-G/F-88) chipped in 12 points in the win. Leia Dongue (185-F/C-91) replied with 20 points for Mozambique.

Nigeria - Mali 48-47
Nigeria survived thriller against hosting Mali to ensure the title game appearance. Ezinne Kalu (173-G-92, college: Savannah St., agency: GoaBasket) and Atonye Nyingifa (180-PF-90, college: UCLA) scored 11 points each to lead the winners. Nigeria accumulated a 23:12 halftime lead. Mali pulled within a striking distance in the dying seconds of the game but Nigeria hung on to secure the victory. Adaora Elonu (185-F-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: ProDep Management) had 7 points in the win. Meiya Tirera (186-F/C-86, agency: ProDep Management) notched 15 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds for Mali.
5-8 Place
Angola - Cameroon 66-54
Angola defeated Cameroon in the classification game. Luisa Tomas (193-C-83) had 16 points and 7 rebounds in the win. Angola claimed a 37:21 halftime lead. They went on a 22:15 run in the fourth period to secure the winning outcome. Rosa Gala tallied 14 points in the win. Ramses Lonlack-Nimpa (172-SG-89, college: Memphis) accounted for 18 points for Cameroon.

Ivory Coast - Egypt 73-70
Ivory Coast held off Egypt in the classification round. Mamiky Cisse (180-F-91) netted 19 points to lead the charge. Egypt posted a 20:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Ivory Coast pulled within a single point at the interval 31:32. They sank 22 points in the third term to surge ahead. Ivory Coast netted 20 points in the final period to secure a tough win. Djefarina Diawara (179-F-94) produced 13 points and 9 boards in the victory. Hala Elshaarawy (181-F/G-93) answered with 19 points for Egypt.

9-10 Place
Guinea - DR Congo 38-69
DR Congo overwhelmed Guinea to claim the ninth overall position at the championship. Bernadette Ngoyisa (195-C-82) tallied 13 points and 12 rebounds in the win. DR Congo accumulated a 33:15 halftime lead. They held Guinea to just 23 points in the second half to seal the win. Chanel Mokango (196-F-88, college: Mississippi St., agency: ProDep Management) had 11 points for DR Congo. Aicha Mara (96) topscored with 14 points for Guinea.
11-12 Place
Tunisia - Central Africa 73-63
Tunisia clinched the 11th overall position as they beat Central Africa. Houda Hamrouni (188-F-94) provided 14 points to lead the effort. Tunisia accumulated a 38:21 halftime lead. Central Africa narrowed the distance in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Maherzia Ksouri (183-F/C-83) notched 13 points for the winners. Abety Kossi (180-PF-89) chipped in 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Central Africa.

FINAL Senegal - Nigeria 48-65 Nigeria clinched the title in Mali. They beat Senegal to capture the first AfroBasket Gold since 2003. Evelyn Akhator (190-F-95, college: Kentucky) posted 13 points and 7 rebounds to lead the champions. Senegal recorded an 18:12 lead after ten minutes. Nigeria bounced back in the second term.
