We haven't seen since so many years the Egyptian fans giving such attention to our basketball national team. It's not only because we ranked 2nd in Africa last tournament and then qualified to world cup, it's mainly because of the beautiful basketball the team is playing under coach Ahmed Marei who created excellent chemistry between his players.

He established up tempo offensive style for the team spreading the floor well creating space for his players who are hungry for winning and going further in this tournament.

The team is playing good defense just need to limit gifting their opponents some easy fouls. They also must improve their free throw shooting.

Angola is too much considering the Egyptian team. Forward Eduardo Mingas (36 years old) told FIBA's website: ' Right now Egypt is playing better basketball than us, they are moving the ball a lot better, they are playing as a team, and we are going to need to prevent them from playing this way. If we don't stop them we could fall in the quarter final'.

If you go through Mingas words carefully he ended by 'we could fall in the quarter final'. It's clear that they afraid from the game, the loss is in their mind and we must use this.

Mingas teammates also confessed that their main problem is that they are playing more individually, the lack of team work is really hurting them.

Center Yannick Moreira who signed with Los Angles Clippers in the NBA for the up coming season is the most player with stable form so far for Angola in this tournament, despite his stats aren't flashy. He averages 10.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and was the savior for his team against Central Africa.

2013 Africa's most valuable player Carloas Morais looked shaky specially against Morocco and Central Africa.

Reggie Moore (34 years old) isn't in his normal form but still he's probably the best free throw shooter in the tournament. It's better to limit fouls on him.

All what we need from our team is always being positive, fearless, playing their same level of game and fighting for every ball till the last second.
